Unlock Your Body’s Natural Alignment with Rolfing®
If you can imagine how it feels to live in a fluid, light, and balanced body—free of pain, stiffness, and chronic stress—then you will understand the purpose of Rolfing®.
Unlike traditional massage, Rolfing® works with the body's fascial system to create deep, lasting structural changes that improve mobility, relieve tension, and restore balance.
The Rolfing® Difference: Beyond Massage
While both massage and Rolfing® offer relief from tension, they work in fundamentally different ways.
Massage Therapy
Uses oil or lotion to glide over the skin.
Works with quick-release nerve responses, creating a temporary relaxation effect.
Primarily focuses on calming the nervous system for short-term relief.
Rolfing® Structural Integration
Works directly with the fascial system, without oils or lotions, while the client remains fully clothed in activewear.
Engages deep, ingrained holding patterns that take 45 seconds to a minute to respond.
Follows a structured 10-session series designed to systematically realign and restore natural movement.
Why Rolfing®? The Science Behind the Technique
The human body craves balance, but modern lifestyles create restrictions in movement, posture, and function. These restrictions often stem from the fascial layer, the connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles, bones, and organs. When fascia becomes tight and dehydrated, it loses its ability to glide and stretch, leading to chronic pain, stiffness, and poor posture.
Through precise hands-on techniques, Rolfing® works by:
Applying a gentle, sustained stretch to the fascia, allowing hydration to return and restoring its natural glide.
Systematically addressing different parts of the body in a 10-session sequence, ensuring total-body integration.
Encouraging long-term postural changes so your body functions better in everyday life.
In addition to Rolfing®, I have pursued continuing education in Craniosacral Therapy, a technique that helps regulate the nervous system and relieve stress. The combination of these therapies provides a powerful approach to addressing both structural and emotional well-being.
THE IMPORTANCE OF ALIGNMENT

THE IMPORTANCE OF ALIGNMENT |
Understanding Rolfing®: Restoring Natural Alignment
The image above represents the core principle of Rolfing® Structural Integration—helping the body move from misalignment and tension (left) to balance and ease (right). When the body is out of alignment, different sections become restricted, leading to chronic pain, stiffness, and limited movement. Rolfing® systematically works with the body's fascia to release tension, improve posture, and restore a more natural, effortless way of moving.
If you’re ready to experience greater freedom in your body, book your Rolfing® session today!
Rolfing® is not just about relief—it's about long-term transformation.
My goal is for you to experience a body that moves with ease and efficiency so you can fully engage in life.
Ideally, I won’t see you again for at least six months after completing a series, but when life happens, I’ll be here to help.
Meet Chris Parker: Bringing Rolfing® to Wenatchee
Chris was born and raised in Wenatchee. Growing up as an avid baseball player, the pitching mound was his comfort zone. At 14 years old, Chris' baseball season left him with two strained hamstrings, one right after another. Working with Biosport, he got the idea that helping people get back into working order would be a fulfilling career path.
Fast forward a few years, he graduated from Wenatchee High School in 2009 having completed three years of sports medicine.
Moving away from the medical field for a few years, he got pulled back into medicine after receiving some massages. He then started down the road of massage therapy and bodywork. While attending massage therapy school in Portland, OR., he started receiving a different form of bodywork hoping it might be able to help his elbow. His left elbow hadn't been able to straighten for eight years, from a previous baseball injury.
The new technique was Rolfing®, and after just one session he noticed a big change. He then knew he had to learn this unique technique. Working as a massage therapist at Ovenell Chiropractic from 2018 to 2022, he saved up to attend The Dr. Ida Rolf Institute (DIRI) in Boulder, CO. He started at the DIRI in June of 2021 and graduated in May of 2022. Chris is extremely excited to be the first to offer this transformative technique to his home valley of Wenatchee.

FAQs
-
Rolfing® Structural Integration is a hands-on bodywork technique that focuses on releasing tension in the fascia (connective tissue) to improve posture, movement, and overall function. Unlike massage therapy, which primarily relaxes muscles using oils and lotions, Rolfing® works without oils while the client remains fully clothed. It involves deeper, more intentional work to create long-lasting structural changes rather than temporary relaxation.
-
During a session, you’ll remain fully clothed in activewear while your Rolfer uses precise myofascial release techniques to assess and improve your body’s alignment. Each session lasts about 60 minutes and follows a structured 10-series approach to systematically address different areas of tension and imbalance.
-
Rolfing® should never be painful, but some areas of deep tension may feel intense as the fascia releases. Most clients describe the sensation as a "good" or relieving discomfort rather than pain. The pressure is always adjusted based on your comfort level, ensuring a safe and effective experience.
-
Rolfing® is beneficial for anyone experiencing chronic pain, restricted movement, or postural imbalances due to injury, surgery, or repetitive stress. Athletes, active individuals, and those recovering from physical trauma often find relief and improved mobility through Rolfing®. It's also helpful for people seeking better posture and long-term body alignment.
